A large flock of flamingos gathered in wetland waters within Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of East Africa’s most important wildlife ecosystems. Numerous flamingos wading and feeding in shallow water within the reserve’s wetland habitat. The flock appears to include both Greater Flamingo and Lesser Flamingo, species commonly seen together in African lakes and marshes. Greater Flamingos are identifiable by their pale pink-white plumage and light-coloured bills with black tips, while Lesser Flamingos display deeper pink tones and darker red bills. The wetland environment provides feeding grounds rich in algae and aquatic organisms that support large migratory bird populations across the Maasai Mara landscape.
