High Himalayan peaks as seen from Kanchani Kharak. A hard day's trek above the Shiva temple of Madhyamaheshwar lies Kanchani Kharak en route to Kanchni Tal, a beautiful alpine lake. Madmaheshwar is one of the five 'panch-kedar' shrines and a must-do pilgrimage for devout Hindus. Kedarnath trekking makes its start from Gaurikund where there is a famous hot water sulphur spring. People take a holy bath in that spring to get free from the fatigue of trekking and then the route takes the trekkers through the dense forests and some mesmerizing and radiant waterfalls. It is important that you carry a good pair of sneakers, luggage bag, Waterbottle, torch and other items that will be helpful in the jungle.
