In a lush patch of green grass, a Common Indian Toad rests quietly, its textured skin blending perfectly with the damp earth. For a moment, it sits motionless—then with a sudden spring, it jumps forward, disappearing into the grass. Found widely across **India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh**, the Common Indian Toad thrives in gardens, fields, ponds, and urban parks, especially during the monsoon. In another close-up shot, a cicada nymph (larva) clings to a leaf, its brown shell catching the soft natural light. Slowly, it prepares for its remarkable transformation.
