A graceful Grey Bushchat perched on a slender branch in Jabarkhet. The bird displays the subtle beauty typical of a female Grey Bushchat, with warm tawny-brown upperparts blending into buff-colored underparts. A distinct pale eyebrow stripe (supercilium) above the eye enhances its alert expression, while its earthy plumage provides excellent camouflage among shrubs and woodland vegetation. Grey Bushchats are commonly found in open forests, scrublands, grasslands, and forest edges throughout the Himalayan foothills. They often perch on exposed twigs and branches, scanning their surroundings for insects and other small prey.
