Cars seem to become rather amphibious in Delhi city during the monsoon months. Even at the well planned AIIMS underpass and flyover, water accumulates in huge pools and cars churn their way through the standing pools that have accumulated underneath. Many a car does go under and have water enter the engine through the exhaust pipe, causing engine seizure. BMW 7 series are the most prone to such accidents, leading to massive repair costs.
