Narkanda Temple hill swarming with tourists. Some of them stand atop a rocky agglomeration with cliffs on all sides - a perfect recipe for the occasional accident or disaster, as tourists tend to be in switch-off mode, selfie mode and various other modes that are not akin to safe mountain travel. They should not be allowed onto that cliff! The road leading to the temple is choked with tourist taxis. The hills have thick Oak and deodar forest cover. A Mahindra Scorpio has gone off track onto the meadow, and some trekkers seem to be camped in their tents on the grassy meadow. Narkanda is a town and a nagar panchayat in Kumarsain subdivision of Shimla district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an altitude of 2708 meters on the Hindustan-Tibet Road (NH 5) in Himachal Pradesh,
