These Collared Pygmy Owlet chicks have matured to the point of sitting around alone, but they answer to and call out to their parents. This is the smallest species of owl in the world. The chick stares into our camera lens and gives us the most adoring looks. After a while, it gets bored and shuts its eyes, and you can actually see the nictitating membrane run across the eye...
