In the summer heat of Assam, a Jungle Myna tends to its nest and brood-to-be, currently consisting of four sky blue eggs. She opens her beak for transpiration - to keep cool in the humid summer heat. She brings in leaf matter and anti-fungicidal padding in the form of neem leaves, to pad the area around the eggs, to prevent insects and other organic pests from attacking the young ones once they hatch. Shortly after, the young ones hatch and all one sees are the yellow gapes as they blindly beg for food from their parents, all gape and mouth, and virtually no face! Please help us confirm as to whether this is a Jungle Myna or an ordinary Myna - Acridotheres tristis tristis!
