In nature, a handicapped bird has little chances of survival. Yet, this Grey-winger Blackbird seems to be full of life, sings and vocalizes with full joy and is clearly confident of its place in its territory. One legged bird sings joyfully, inspires us humans to enjoy the joy of life, and to be hopeful and strong! A male Grey-winged Blackbird calls in its melodious voice in the Uttarakhand Himalaya. Normally a vociferous songster, here the Blackbird sits quietly in an Oak tree, and NOT in the mood to sing! The rich humus and fallen dry leaves on a forest floor is perfect breeding grounds for a multitude of insects.
