A White-throated Laughing Thrush spreads her wings wide to protect delicate chicks from summer sun, as she sits in her nest atop her chicks. With many predators on the prowl, including a Yellow-throated Marten or tutrali, our distant protection of this nest yielded a successful clutch of fledged chicks! Notw how th parent flaps its wings, chick-style, in order to elicit a certain reaction of hunger from the bachhas! Intimate family life of a White-throated Laughing Thrush family at their nest in the Himalaya Chicks squeal for their parents' attention! The naked furry heads crane vertically upwards, gapes wide open, praying for parental benevolence. The blue-eyed parent deposits a large moth into one beak and then waits for a faecal globule to be produced, picks it from the chicks' derriere
