Jungle Mynas invade hill country of endemic high altitude Himalayan birds. These are plains birds and not supposed to be straying so far up hill... There is a danger they could dominate nest holes frequented by local birds, for nesting purposes. Gray-winged black bird is one of the most melodious songsters of the entire Himalaya! Sounding like the typical audio track of an English country garden, this thrush screams out its territorial calls down the valley, with the added soundtrack of the Hill Barbet's 'piao-piao' call that reverberates through the Himalayan valleys, in this very summer-time bird call orchestra.
