An Indian Peafowl male is performing a courtship display in the Wilderness Orchard while a female peafowl moves nearby in the natural habitat. The male bird has fully expanded its large semicircular tail train, revealing the iridescent eye-patterned feathers used during mating displays. Vocal calls and subtle body movements accompany the visual display as the female roams around the surrounding vegetation. Indian Peafowl are native to the Indian subcontinent and are commonly found in forest edges, agricultural landscapes, and protected green spaces. The open orchard environment provides suitable cover and feeding grounds for the birds. The footage captures natural courtship behaviour and interaction between male and female peafowl in an outdoor woodland setting.
