An Indian Palm Squirrel is resting inside a round fibrous nest built securely among tree branches. The squirrel displays light brown fur with distinct dark longitudinal stripes running along its back and bushy tail. It appears to be grooming or inspecting its tail while remaining partially sheltered inside the nest structure. The nest is densely woven from coarse, straw-like plant fibres and dry vegetation, forming a protective enclosure that provides warmth and safety within the tree canopy. Indian Palm Squirrels commonly build nests in trees using leaves, grass, and fibrous materials for resting and raising young. The footage captures nesting behaviour, grooming activity, and close details of the squirrel’s natural shelter within the outdoor environment.
