Monkey's tail or swing for baby langurs? In the warm glow of a winter sunset in Rajasthan, we filmed this delightful pack of langurs, and discovered that they not only have a sense of humour and a sense of fun, but also plan fun things for their kids and communicate in a fairly complex fashion. When one langur monkey kid obviously enjoys the act of swinging from it's mother's tail, other babies join in. Soon the mother's tail is a swinging rope ladder -basically it becomes the local park swing for the kiddies! When the youngest baby in the pack moves towards the matriarch mother's tail, she barely gets a grip on it when the big female moves up the rock, dropping the baby rather unceremoniously.
