Urban spaces have a shortage of large trees, especially those than can provide appropriate nest-holes in their trunks. When a tree with a nest hole is found in a busy, crowded city, it is eyed by many birds and small animals to use as nesting space for their young. This nest hole in a Gulmohar tree is hot property as you can see... An Indian Grey Hornbill (Ocyceros birostris) regurgitating green leaves to put inside the nest and at the same time a Common Myna (Acridotheres tristis) keeps going in to the same hole to prepare it as its own nesting space. Both birds refuse to back down from the fight of ownership of the nest-hole.
