A Tawny Eagle (Aquila rapax) perched among the fine needles of a deodar or Himalayan cedar tree in a forested habitat at the wildfilmsindia bird sanctuary at Jabbarkhet. The raptor remains still on its elevated perch while carefully scanning the surrounding woodland with its large, dark eyes. Its pale tawny-brown head and chest contrast with the darker blackish-brown wings and tail, making its distinctive plumage clearly visible. The eagle's strong, hooked beak and powerful build reflect its role as a bird of prey. Surrounded by dense forest foliage under natural daylight, the sequence documents the alert resting behaviour of this impressive raptor in its natural environment.
