A Grey-winged Blackbird is seen tending to its chicks in a nest built on a tree branch. The male displays deep black plumage with a distinct grey patch on the wings and a bright orange-yellow bill, while the female appears browner with subtler tones. This species is commonly found in the mountains of southern and eastern Asia, especially in humid evergreen forests at elevations of 1800–2700 meters. It feeds on a mix of insects, worms, and berries, showing both insectivorous and frugivorous behavior. Known for its melodious, flute-like calls, the bird’s nurturing behavior highlights its role in forest ecosystems.
