Submerged bridges, houses and roads during flooding in the state of Karnataka during the monsoons of 2019. Thousands of people had to be moved to higher ground and to relief camps. The main causes of the flood were extremely heavy rainfall and excess water being discharged from the Maharashtra reservoir.
