An Ashy Prinia (Prinia socialis), a small insect-eating songbird commonly found across the Indian subcontinent. The bird is perched within dense shrubs and thin branching vegetation, partially concealed among green leaves and undergrowth. It displays the species’ characteristic buff-colored underparts, grey-brown upper body, and darker crown. Ashy Prinias are frequently seen in scrublands, gardens, grasslands, agricultural edges, and urban green spaces where they actively forage for insects. Their restless movements and sharp vocal calls make them a familiar bird in open vegetation habitats across India. The footage documents the natural behavior and habitat of a widespread Indian passerine bird.
