When a Five-striped Palm Squirrel or gilheri gets run over by a car in New Delhi, the House Crows or kauwas move in to recycle and reuse! They, in turn, have to be cautious to not get run over by yet another car... Meanwhile, the scavengers have a crow fight over the spoils. Since the squirrel is stuck to the road, they cannot even hope to carry it off for a peaceful meal on a tree branch. While two Corvus splendens fight, a third tries to carry off the squirrel and run away - the opportunist! However, it does manage to dis-lodge the squirrel from the tarmac and it is now free to be pecked and eaten into...
