A garden-orchard in Delhi springs forth with summer-time activity. Mustard and broccoli, ripens in the fields, Green Bee-eaters look out for prey for look out points, Apis dorsata bees tend to their huge hive on the peepul tree, a Shikra preens and looks out for prey, a Red-vented Bulbul sits on blossoms, carrot flowers get ready and attract lady bird beetles, Purple Sunbirds forage for insects and nectar from Hamelia patens flowering shrubs, and the olden-backed Woodpecker investigates tree trunk cracks for insects. Meanwhile, the Foxtail orchids are flowering on the Bottlebrush and a Hoopoe preens on the ground.
