A monsoon walk towards the Valley of Flowers, between Ghangariya to Govindghat in the Phoolon ki ghati, in the Garhwal Himalaya. One hasn't quite reached the Valley in this video which traverses a cobbled stone path from the last village to the first staging point. The rocky hill in the distance lies within the Valley of Flowers national park and sanctuary. This is a tourist trekker's trail and in the wet and slippery monsoon season, walkers slog up to the Valley of Flowers to see vast swathes of the relatively common Geranium and Potentillas and a few other species, but not many of the more exciting summer and monsoon flowering ones get seen easily, along the tourist pathways...
