Devotees chant 'Ganpati Bappa Morya' and dance to the beats of dhol on their way to the river banks for immersion. Thousands of people gather to bid farewell to their beloved Ganesha on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi. The 10-day long festival of Ganesh Chaturthi which marks the birth of Lord Ganesha, the son of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. Observed with much fervour and excitement, the final day of the festival saw people coming together to bid farewell to their beloved Ganesha.
