The idol of Goddess Durga Devi is installed on the first day and worshipped for nine successive days during Durga Navratri. The immersion, also called as Nimajjan or Visarjan is performed in an enthusiastic and entertaining atmosphere. Devotees participate in the immersion of Durga Devi idol with great devotion. Based on the regional traditions and culture Durga Devi Visarjan is performed .On the last day of Durga Devi Puja, Durga Devi is worshipped with utmost devotion. Devotees praise and pray to the idol of the Goddess for the last time in the year.Idol of Durga Devi is taken for a procession on the main streets to give an opportunity to all devotees to visit..
