Several sets of A-line huts mar the alpine meadows of Ali and Bedni en route the Roopkund and Ronti Saddle trek. The huts have been set up for pilgrims who take part in the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra, for political and local reasons. A base camp made of flat rocks with camping tents on the way to Roopkund Lake, just after Ali and Bedni buggyal meadows, Himalayan peak Nanda Ghunti covered in light autumn snow with mist clouding the view of the camera. Trekkers stitch clothes at the base camp, cook Nestle Maggi noodles for lunch and see Bharal or Blue Sheep run across the rocky terrain at the edge of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary. 1300 year old bones and skulls lie scatted at this 16, 500 foot high altitude western Himalayan Roopkund lake in the shadow of Trishul peak.
