It is heart-warming to see human beings swarm together to rescue elephants trapped in pits and other natural hazards (admittedly, some of them are man made!), through the use of ingenuity and machinery put together with human muscle power, through and action! Some of the rescue stories you see here include: A baby elephant that was trapped in a ditch and rescued in Tamil Nadu A crane was used to rescue an injured Elephant in Kerala A young elephant was rescued from a well and given a bath An elephant was saved from a swampy pit in Karnataka A JCB excavator was used to lift and rescue an Elephant from a pit A baby elephant was rescued, carried on someone's shoulders and rehydrated before running back into the wild.
