A small herd of Indian Elephants (Elephas maximus) is spotted at the edge of an open forest in Karnataka. The herd includes a grown male with fully developed tusks and even young ones. The elephants are seen feeding on grass and it is surprising that these rather shy animals are seen standing near the tracks of a safari. A case of human conflict as a herd of elephants comes out into the open from the forest, in search if forage and new feeding grounds, stopped by human presence and a road which they have come out onto.
