Kotwal chidiya or Grey Drongo has a ruby red eye, a forked tail and bluish-grey plumage that makes it stand out and be most visible, especially as it sits on vantage points and the tops of trees, in our middle hills in the western Himalaya. In the background audio, cicadas croak and call in the monsoon season, as do Laughing Thrushes and toads and frogs around our trout pond.
