The Spotted Owlet (Athene brama)is a small, charismatic owl native to the Indian subcontinent. Believed to have originated in the warm, open landscapes of South Asia, it is widely distributed across India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and parts of Pakistan**. This species thrives in regions where old trees, open fields, and human settlements coexist, making it one of the most familiar owls in the subcontinent.
