A Kashmir (also known as Himalayan) Rock Agama (Laudakia tuberculata) is seen expertly clinging to a weathered wooden surface in Jabarkhet near Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. This remarkable agamid lizard is known for its strong climbing abilities and its habit of basking on rocks, walls, trees, and other elevated surfaces throughout the Himalayan region.
