Terpsiphone paradisi is surely one of the most elegant and graceful birds to be seen in India. A denizen of forest edges, fruit orchards and green areas, this beautiful bird is most often identified as the Dudhraj or a shimmery vision in white. But this is a first year immature male which has a rusty-brown plumage much like the female. However, the male has the long tail feathers with streaming ribbons which the female does not!
