An Indian grey hornbill (Ocyceros birostris) clinging to a tree trunk beside its nest cavity among green bamboo leaves. The bird has grey plumage, a curved bill with a small casque, a pale belly, and a long tail with white tips. It regurgitates berries and passes food through the cavity opening to its mate inside. During nesting, the female seals herself inside the tree hollow with a mixture of mud, droppings, and other material, leaving a narrow slit through which the male delivers food. The footage provides a close view of the hornbill's nesting behaviour and food delivery during the breeding period.
