Gorumara National Park, one of eastern India's most important wildlife habitats. High in the forest canopy, a group of Capped Langur can be seen resting among the trees. These distinctive primates are recognized by their grey-brown upper bodies, creamy-orange underparts, and the characteristic dark cap of hair on their heads. Their long tails help them maintain balance as they move gracefully through the forest canopy. Primarily leaf-eaters, capped langurs spend much of their lives in trees, feeding on leaves, fruits, flowers, and young shoots.
