Morning assembly, with overtones of multi-religiousness and faith, for female inmates of Asia's largest jail - New Delhi's Tihar... Is it the cold or bashfulness that causes some of the women to cover their faces with their dupattas or salwar-kameez shawls? The largest compound of prisons in South Asia, Tihar Jail is also known as Tihar and has a brand of their own by the name of TJ's! It is located around 7 km away from Chanakya Puri, west of New Delhi, India at Tihar village. The nearby area is called Hari Nagar. It is not just a prison but also a Correctional Institution. Its main objective is to provide useful skills, and educate the inhabitants so as to make them normal members of society. The prison is meant to strengthen the inmates' desire to improve by boosting their self esteem.
