Female inmates mill around the courtyard in the morning. Piping hot breakfast being prepared early on a cold winter morning, with tea being poured into large jugs and flasks, for distribution to inmates. Piles of food laid out for inmates... A policewoman supervises work in the kitchen as volunteer inmates help with food distribution. Others help with food preparation in the kitchen, over large copper and aluminum pots. Each inmate collects a cup of tea with a toast and other modest goodies. It's cold and everyone seems to be draped in blankets and caps! The largest compound of prisons in South Asia, Tihar Jail is also known as Tihar and has a brand of their own by the name of TJ's!
