A Rosy Starling, Pastor roseus, moves between the branches of a Sacred Fig or Peepul tree. The migratory bird is seen jumping from one branch to another while navigating through the tree’s dense foliage. Its glossy black head contrasts with its soft pinkish-peach body, making it easily noticeable among the green leaves. The Peepul tree has distinctive heart-shaped leaves with prominent veins, along with clusters of small green figs growing directly from the branches. The bird moves actively through the tree, occasionally looking down before making its jump to a nearby branch. Rosy Starlings are migratory birds that visit the Indian subcontinent seasonally and are often seen feeding on fruits, berries and insects.
