In a Karnataka village, a group of men surrounded a crocodile, which was forced to come out of the river and go to the village in search for water and food during the fast-depleting reserves of the Krishna River. The attempt of containing the croc is not an easy task. The fast-depleting reserves of the Krishna River, which flows through a large part of Bagalkot and Vijayapura districts, have not only resulted in a drinking water problem in the two districts, but the situation has also made life difficult for animals. Three crocodile deaths have been reported at Bilagi taluk of Bagalkot district during May, 2017. Moreover, what has added to villagers' anxiety is that the reptiles are also increasingly venturing out of the river - nine crocodiles have been rescued at Bilagi taluk in the last
