Hundreds of birds circling above Gazipur on the Delhi-Ghaziabad border. Many of the birds are Black Kites (Milvus migrans), using rising air currents to remain aloft in wide, looping circles. Gazipur is home to a major landfill and is located near wholesale markets, creating abundant food sources for scavenging birds. The footage captures the large aerial gathering and the relationship between urban waste, scavenging birds, and the surrounding city landscape.
