In the serene forests of Jabbarkhet, the Verditer Flycatcher (Eumyias thalassinus)shines like a turquoise gem. It splashes playfully in the flowing water, dipping and fluttering its wings as droplets sparkle around it. After bathing, it hops onto a branch, shaking and fluffing its feathers to dry, its blue-green glow bright against the forest backdrop. This species originates from the Himalayan foothills and is found across India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Southeast Asia, thriving in hilly woods like Jabbarkhet. Not far away, the Nilgiri Flycatcher (Eumyias albicaudatus) flits between branches, chirping softly.
