Common Wall (Lasiommata schakra) ranges across India including Delhi, inhabiting dry scrublands, grasslands, and open forests as a widespread satyrine butterfly. Active year-round but peaks during monsoons, it prefers sunny areas with bare ground for basking and nectar feeding on flowers like sunflowers. Common in urban parks and rural areas around Delhi, showing distinctive eyespots and zigzag wing bands.
