Is that a Thick-billed Thrush or another species of ground thrush? Help us identify it! A Turtle Dove sits on a deodar tree branch, while a Himalayan Pied Woodpecker digs into the monsoon mosses on a Oak tree, preening itself along the way. A female Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush sits on a twig, showing its white behind ear patches to full effect and then hops onto a green moss-covered broken branch. A Grey Drongo also sits atop a deodar sprig. A Green-backed Tit hunts for small insects in a shrub of stinging nettle, do doubt attracted to the insects that seem to love eating nettle or bichhu booti leaves.
