A Black Kite (Milvus migrans) perched upright on a weathered tree stump in its natural habitat. The bird remains alert, repeatedly turning its head to watch the surrounding area. Its dark brown plumage, streaked chest, hooked beak, pale grey cere, and yellow legs with sharp talons are clearly visible as it grips the rough bark and scans for movement.
