The tranquil landscape of Sudhanyakhali in the Sundarbans, featuring a freshwater pond surrounded by dense mangrove forest within the world’s largest delta ecosystem. The sweet-water pond maintained by the forest department serves as an important wildlife attraction point where animals such as spotted deer, wild boars, and occasionally Royal Bengal tigers come to drink water. The surrounding mangrove vegetation reflects the unique ecology of the Sundarbans, dominated by salt-tolerant trees and tidal wetlands that support a rich variety of wildlife. In the distance, tidal creeks and river channels characteristic of the Ganges–Brahmaputra delta landscape can be seen weaving through the forest.
