Bar-headed Geese (Anser indicus) are observed with chicks on a rocky shoreline in a high-altitude region of Ladakh, India. The birds remain close together near the water’s edge, indicating typical group behaviour in open alpine habitats. Tibetan Sand-Plovers (Charadrius atrifrons) are also present, moving across the shoreline in search of food in wetland areas. A Himalayan marmot (Marmota himalayana) is seen walking across a flat, open terrain, showing its stout body, short legs, and bushy tail with a darker tip. The surrounding environment is dry, sparsely vegetated, and characteristic of cold desert ecosystems. Natural daylight highlights the contrasting textures of rock, soil, and animal features.
