A large, thick earthworm is crawling across dry, dusty soil covered with small debris. Its long, segmented body has a glossy surface that reflects light and appears moist against the dry ground. The anterior section is dark blue-black, transitioning to brownish-grey along the rest of its body. Fine pebbles, dried twigs, and fragments of dead leaves are scattered across the surrounding soil.
