A convoy of cars and trucks leads from Kargil into the Suru Valley of Zanskar, past Lamayuru monastery in Ladakh, and its fabulous creations of soil that resemble a moonscape or moonland structure more than anything on earth! Was this the work of Ancient aliens, or can be it more easily ascribed to artwork by ancient climate and weather patterns, working on soil with the use of water as a medium? Yes, it is not a moon surface landscape but a beautiful aerial view of Lamayuru in Ladakh. Lamayuru attracts tourists for its beautiful landscape which is quite similar to the lunar territory. Although it's quite remote, it is a favourite jaunt for photographers and trekkers. Besides the monastery itself, Lamayuru is quite well known for Yuru Kabgyat.
