Hari Village has seen a lot of changes in the last five years. From having an all bamboo house structure in the village to having a lot of concrete buildings, it is a question of adapting to modernity or sticking to traditions. But it seems the Apatanis have mostly chosen a way where they have adapted to the comforts of modernity, yet keeping their traditions alive. The Apatani, or Tanii, are a tribal group of people living in the Ziro valley in the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh in India. However more Apatanis live outside this valley, making the total population approximately 60,000 all over the state.
