Sanjay Narang brought the best food to Landour. The hillside was a sleepy forested one until he brought his culinary skills from Bombay and cheered up the Landour scene with festive Rokeby and then the Bakehouse, and several other lovely aesthetic tenements. Halcyon Manor, the Dahlia Bank that was once owned by B P Singh of Wazir Sultan Tobacco, and which was turned into a fabulous Himalayan homestead by mr. Narang, now stands broken and derelict, after the JCB's and bull dozers moved in, acting on a High Court order.
