It was a safe package after some initial hiccups. Parliament finally passed the path-breaking information technology bill introduced on the last day of the budget session. The bill is aimed at facilitating e-commerce and the growth of the internet in India. Pramod Mahajan, Indian politician speaks about Information Technology Bill 1999. He says, "Digital signature -commerce nor will be legal with electronic filing whole governance will become e-governance actually these are the real major features of this bill which will be lost in an unfortunate controversy about 79 bills which is nothing in that."
