All over the years there was an air of celebration and celebrating 50 years of freedom of Indian democracy. Members belonging to both Rajya Sabha and Loksabha used the occasion to do a bit of introspection. On a special session done this week, the honorable members held forth various issues confronting the nation. There was no format to the deliberations and the tone was set by the Lok Sabha speaker Mr. P. A sangma who delivered a speech over almost every aspect various problems facing the country.
